| Verbesserung der Darstellung von Flügelzügen in GTFS und OJP |
| |
|
 |
| Bildquelle: www.unsplash.com |

| |
|
 |
| Bildquelle: www.astra.admin.ch |

| |
|
 |
| Bildquelle: www.unsplash.com |

Beispiel: stop_id,stop_name,stop_lat,stop_lon,location_type,parent_station,platform_code "1100723","Inzlingen, Zoll","47.58557417","7.67283424","","Parent1100723","" "8507000:0:49","Bern","46.94822398","7.43333440","","Parent8507000","49" "8509068:0:2CD","Klosters Platz","46.86921071","9.88093812","","Parent8509068","2CD" |

| Optimised representation of dividing trains in GTFS and OJP |
| |
|
 |
| Source: www.unsplash.com |
We are currently optimising the representation and description of dividing trains in GTFS and OJP in order to map connections and vehicle passes more clearly and consistently. In GTFS, all normal through coaches, splits and couplings have always been included in transfers.txt. Recently, transfer_type=4 has been set for connections – this shows that passengers can remain seated in the vehicle without changing trains and do not have to change trains: - Splits can now be identified by the fact that two entries with the same from_trip_id and transfer_type=4 are valid on the same day. - Reduced service can now be identified by the fact that only a single from_trip_id with transfer_type=4 is valid on the same day and the note ‘FL’ appears in the line with the corresponding trip_id in the column hints in trips.txt. - Couplings can now be identified by the fact that two entries with the same to_trip_id and transfer_type=4 are valid on the same day.
In OJP, the changes affect both OJPTripRequest and OJPStopEventRequest. In the case of splits and reduced services, the attribute A__FL is set in coupled TimedLegs and TransferLegs. In the case of a TripRequest, the TransferType is marked in the TransferLeg as ‘changeWithinVehicle’. If the response ends in a coupled TimedLeg, the composite direction text, for example D1 | D2, is output in the Service/DestinationText. Even in the case of a StopEventRequest, A__FL is set in the coupled TimedLeg, including the corresponding composite direction text. The composite direction text is currently only output for target journeys; the destination text is adopted for real-time journeys.

| New: Swiss road traffic situations now available on opentransportdata.swiss |
| |
|
 |
| Source: www.astra.admin.ch |
From now on, Swiss traffic situations – known from radio reports – are available as Open Data on opentransportdata.swiss. This dataset provides real-time information about road traffic, including traffic flows, incidents and short- or long-term construction sites, in the DATEX II format. After the data on the traffic counters, another API with data on road traffic from the whole of Switzerland is available.

| Timetable data in OJP: Now available one year in advance |
| |
|
 |
| Source: www.unsplash.com |
From the draft timetable 2026, the timetable data horizon will be redefined in the Open Journey Planner (OJP): From the publication of the first draft timetable until the timetable change, around 12 months of timetable data is available – in particular, from the Monday of the previous week until a year later. 👉 For example, if the data is updated on 3rd July 2025, OJP will provide connections from 23rd June 2025 to 22nd June 2026. In the period between the timetable change and the next draft, the timetable data will continue to be available in OJP from the Monday of the previous week until the next timetable change. 👉 Example: If the data is updated on 29th May 2025, timetable data from 19th May 2025 to 13th December 2025 will be visible. Does this procedure work for you? If you have feedback or concerns, we look forward to receiving your feedback by 4th July 2025 at the latest via opendata@sbb.ch.

Current links and further information:
- Formation API now available under a new URL – please switch: The Formation API is currently accessible under the root domain api.opentransportdata.swiss. The API can now be found at the new URL api.opentransportdata.swiss/formation/v1. The old URL will remain active for the time being, but will be deactivated shortly. 👉 Please change to the new address as soon as possible. The API keys solved in the API Manager remain valid and do not need to be requested again.
- From 23rd June 2025, the ‘platform_code’ column will also be output in the stops.txt file of the GTFS dataset. This allows the respective track or boarding area for bus/tram to be determined without parsing another field. As specified in the standard, the value consists only of numbers, letters or their combinations, without the addition ‘track’ or ‘boarding area’. If there is no designation for the passengers, as is often the case for small local transport stops, the field remains empty. Example: stop_id,stop_name,stop_lat,stop_lon,location_type,parent_station,platform_code "1100723","Inzlingen, Zoll","47.58557417","7.67283424","","Parent1100723","" "8507000:0:49","Bern","46.94822398","7.43333440","","Parent8507000","49" "8509068:0:2CD","Klosters Platz","46.86921071","9.88093812","","Parent8509068","2CD" |
